Various state governments have different requirements in regards to the renewal of practicing license for social workers. Continuing education units (CEUs) however remains one of the major requirements for such renewals. A CEU is used as a measure of time spent in this continuing education and is very critical for Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW).
