Achieve Balance And Success Using Psych-K As The Tool

By Jeannie Chapman

In 1988 a new therapeutic tool was introduced. Psych-k has the capacity to facilitate changes in the subconscious brain. When a person holds incorrect beliefs in the subconscious it may cause him to repeat mistakes over and over. This is detrimental to how he conducts his life.

Other tools, some examples being will power, visualization and daily affirmations, do not work in the same way as this new technique. These traditional tools only affect the conscious mind. Some of the roadblocks to achievement are invisible, residing in the subconscious.

Change cannot be brought about to aberrant behavior that an individual is not aware of. The psych-k self-help method focuses on changing the state of mind that exists in someone when he or she becomes aware of stress that arises for no apparent reason.

Some specific movements and posturing of the body indicate that neurons are being fired in both hemispheres of the brain. A person is then more open to change. It allows for exchanging the undesirable belief with one that is desirable and will improve the way he approaches life from then on.

A retinue of tools are incorporated into the process. For example, educational kinesiology, Ericksonian hypnotherapy and neuro-linguistic programming, which has been used in cognitive behavioral therapy with a high degree of success. Psych-k claims to make direct communication between the conscious and subconscious mind possible.

This open communication takes place as a whole-brain procedure. Ordinarily, subconscious beliefs remain invisible to the conscious mind. When the person is made aware of negative beliefs that hamper his success in life, he is then able to replace them with positive ones.

The success that is achieved, is achieved rapidly. Long years are required for psychoanalysis and shorter, yet significant periods of time are needed for psychotherapy. Psych-k, on the other hand, can take place instantaneously. The change is confirmed by evaluating muscular reaction.

Genetics are considered responsible for what a person is capable of achieving. The common medical and philosophical theories posit that a person is predisposed by his genetic makeup. When the balance of the whole brain is applied, there is no limit to what can be accomplished. It is self-confidence that allows an individual to achieve success in his chosen field.

Genetics are a fact, of course, but they do not limit the person who wants to achieve his goals. It may not be genetics holding him back and limiting his success. It may simply be the belief that genetics will limit his potential.

State of mind is influenced by beliefs held at the subconscious level. When they are irrational, you are naturally limited. It is not necessary to wait for years or even months to make a fresh start in life. Dispelling the detrimental beliefs and implementing the ones that inspire confidence can be accomplished quickly.

It can bring about the ability to defeat a long-term condition, confront a job market that has rejected you repeatedly and allow you to forge new relationships or repair old ones. Psych-k is quite possibly a therapeutic tool that can quickly and easily bring about a whole new and improved ability to deal with life and achieve all the good things you once thought impossible.
