By Jerry Carter

When it comes to the humanities, the most popular associated courses and degree plan is that of psychology. Once having completed a degree in Applied Behavior Analysis NJ, people most often work with adults and children facing mental challenges. While most psychologists work out of a private office, these individuals often work out hospitals, schools and clinics.

Analysts working in this area provide services to individuals with different needs. In some cases, these individuals work with adults while others work with children. For those interested in a career in this area, Monmouth University offers an online certificate program through which individuals can become certified or just learn more about this area of psychology.

While the certificate program focuses on Applied Behavior Aanalysis, there are also programs such as a Masters of Education focusing on Special Education and a combined course program for individuals desiring to work with clients with Autism and applied behavioral issues. In fact, the ABA program was developed and designed to specifically meet the requirements necessary to sit for the exam. While this is the case, the courses are open to all students whether seeking a degree, certification or just wanting to know more about the scientific aspects of applied behavioral analysis.

The program can also benefit educational consultants, psychologists, school administrators, speech pathologists, social workers and teachers. While this is the case, the ABA Certification Board has approved courses in the program as meeting the requirements necessary to sit for the exam which must be passed satisfactorily before certification can be granted. In addition, those applying to the ABA Certificate program must meet additional requirements as defined on the BACB websites.

The online program involves six courses which must be completed in sequence. For, the curriculum is designed to allow the 270 hours of classroom hours of study and associated work to fulfill the requirements necessary to sit for the exam. Classes include six different courses related to behavioral analysis and theories. While a number of students have found great success with the coursework, program and curriculum, no pass ratings can be published unless there are six candidates or fewer registered for the exam.

The United States Of Education require that universities, colleges and schools disclose all information related to all non-degree programs which can lead to gainful employment. For example, the online program does not provide a degree though by issuing certificates often lead students toward gainful employment. As such, information must be disclosed in a report to the Department of Education with regards to all courses and the overall certification program.

Students specializing in this area learn how to incorporate scientifically based techniques and principles which work to create positive behavioral changes in people who suffer from Autism Spectrum Disorder or ASD, ADHD and ODD. Located in the School of Education building on the campus of Monmouth University, the program developed and designed by professional teachers with expertise in the area. As such, students of all educational and financial programs often do well in these programs.

The Monmouth teaching staff includes teachers whom have taught at all levels of education. As such, these individuals have the knowledge, insight and networking ability to require future leaders. As such, students seeking to become Board Certified Behavioral Analysts often benefit from the networking opportunities, personalized learning and challenging curriculum offered by Monmouth and other schools providing certificate and other non-degree based programs.
