It is based on the cognitive approach where you will learn to change negative emotions in something that is more positive and realistic. Many people have issues based on their childhood experiences. They have a lot of rage that builds up within them and they let this off.

For borderline patients, it can interfere with their lives on a day to day basis. It can ruin their chances of having a job. They will benefit from following a strict routine and starting the day feeling less stressed. There may be temptations during the day, but there will be certain things that they have learned which will definitely be helpful.

It is also based on the cognitive behavioral method, where one will use the approach, focusing on negative thoughts and transforming these into something that is more realistic and even positive. This also takes time, but for these patients it is also the best way forward because of how they have been affected in the past. They may have the mentality that they are not good enough or they have to act in a certain way. This is where this method is also extremely useful.
